Wood is a symbol of nobility, quality, design and comfort. It is a living material whose extraordinary beauty and resistance are affected by the passage of time and the effect of external agents in the same way that occurs to our own skin. To enjoy a wood as beautiful and healthy as the first day, able to awaken all our senses, we must take care of it the same way we do it with our skin: preventing, protecting and recovering it with specific products of high quality and effectiveness that will improve its appearance and functionality.

What affects wood?

The same external and internal agents that affected wood in the tree continue to affect it when it becomes a constructive element. Sun UV rays, humidity, insects and fungi. To protect the wood and maintain its natural properties, treatments that will take into account the type and intensity of exposure to these agents.

Although in the market there are countless materials for the protection of wood, we, supported in our long experience manufacturing and mounting wooden houses for more than 15 years, work with a concrete protector ... which we recommend for the protection of their wooden houses. It's about lasur, water-based protector.

What's a lasur?

The lasur is a high resistance coating, special for outdoor woods such as wooden houses, garden furniture, rails, doors, windows and all wooden surfaces that are exposed to the weather.
Although the composition of the current varnishes has evolved significantly, but there is another much more effective way to treat and protect the wood that is outside: the lasures.
When applying a varnish we form a film on the wood, as if we put on a glass, with which the Sun acts as a magnifying glass and getting this film to end up quarteting, scaling and breaking.
The lasur, unlike the varnish, penetrates deeply into the wood, open pore. By not forming a layer it allows the wood to breathe and always maintain the balance between the humidity of the wood and the environment around it. In this way it protects and embellishes the wood respecting the natural aspect of its veins.
Lasures offer high resistance to UV rays, are elastic, water repellent and also incorporate fungicides and insecticides for the prevention of fungi, carcomas or termites. They are very easy to apply and long lasting, from 4 to 7 years.
And something very important, especially for the little lovers of homework, for new maintenance layers it is not necessary to sand or decap.

How does lasur apply?

The lasur should be applied in SIN woods previous hands of varnish or any other type of paint. The surface should be clean, dry, dust-free, fat, humidity or fungi. In such case it is smoothly sanded in the sense of its veins and once clean is proceeded to the application of the first hand. For this the material must be diluted in 20% of water, and can be applied with brush, foam roller or pneumatic gun.

The subsequent lasur hands are applied without solvent addition, that is to say with original consistency. Two or three more hands will be required, depending on the absorption of the treated wood.

In woods containing previous hands of varnish or paint it is necessary to completely remove the old material with a chemical decapative, and then wash and sand. Only once dry is it possible to apply the lasur.
