How to prepare the floor?

Before acquiring any garden shed, wooden housegarage or any product from our catalog should consider correctly preparing the surface (soil) where the product was assembled. This is one of the most important points of the whole process, since if you do not prepare it correctly you may have unpleasant problems and surprises in the future. Below we explain different solutions to prepare your land for the installation of your wooden booth.

Concrete slab

The best and most recommended option for a proper settlement of a wooden house would be to prepare a concrete slab (concrete base). The concrete must be armed and with a minimum thickness of 15cm. The measure of the same will depend on the product to be installed, always starting from the external measures of the cabin or house to be installed. Example: If you choose a wooden case of 6x6m (exterior), the base has to be 6x6at least. If you want to give him a larger measure there would be no problem. The base has to be fully leveled (a minimum level of approx. 1-2cm is accepted for waterfall).

Another valid option to prepare a foundation for a wooden house it would be to prepare a cutting of treated wooden beams (e.g. autoclave), always at the same level with a margin of 30-40cm.

Base of blocks or concrete beams

Another valid option to prepare the foundation of a wooden house is to build a base of blocks or concrete beams. This method provides a solid and stable basis that can support the weight of the structure. To carry out this foundation, it is essential that the concrete structure be built at the same level and that the blocks or beams are arranged with a margin of 40 cm each other, as indicated in the plane of the house.

In addition, the concrete base must have exterior dimensions that fit exactly to the size of the house to be built. This ensures uniform weight distribution and avoids stability problems. It is important to conduct a previous study of the terrain and ensure that the base is leveled and well aligned to ensure the durability and security of the construction.

When building the base of concrete blocks or beams, protection against humidity and adequate isolation should also be considered to prevent future problems related to humidity and temperature.

PVC (Plots)

They are used to save the unevenness on a floor or base that is either of work or concrete, cannot be placed directly on the ground if it is of land.

The plots are adjustable in height through a simple manipulation of the rotating threaded middle piece, and secured by a turning blocker counter, allowing to obtain the desired heights, even being the base piece and the fixed top support. This option greatly facilitates assembly as it allows to equal “ras” of soil without having to lift the beams of the house or cottage.
